Since 2014, when Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India, his popularity has soared at an unprecedented rate, and US-based business intelligence company Morning Consult bolsters that fact. His official visits have garnered massive attention as a sea of Indian diaspora gathers in cities overseas to welcome their Prime Minister. Sydney’s jam-packed Qudos Arena was no different with people of India-origin in stands roaring ‘Modi Modi’ chants on May 23 this year. Such a crowd stunned Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who described the event as even bigger than American singer Bruce Springsteen’s show in the stadium. The next thing that Albanese said made headlines across the world. “The last time I saw someone on this stage was Bruce Springsteen and he did not get the welcome that Prime Minister Modi has got. Prime Minister Modi is the boss,” said Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. In recent times, world leaders and top business tycoons have lavished praises on the Indian Prime Minister Modi. Among the list is none other than the world’s richest businessman Elon Musk. After meeting PM Modi in New York on June 21, Elon Musk revealed that he is a fan of PM Modi. “I’m incredibly excited about the future of India. India has more promise than any large country in the world. He (PM Modi) cares about India as he’s pushing us to make significant investments in India. I am a fan of Modi. It was a fantastic meeting and I like him quite a lot,” said Musk. Aware of Modi’s popularity, even US President Joe Biden had acknowledged his fan following. At the Quad Summit, the Australian PM said that there was a deluge of requests to attend PM Modi’s program in Sydney, to which US President Joe Biden had the most epic response, who asked PM Modi for his autograph.
