Temporary shelter homes were being constructed for displaced families in Thoubal district in Manipur on July 23. Speaking on the same, Superintending Engineer of Manipur Police Housing Corporation, P Brojendra Singh said that the work for temporary shelters started on July 04. He mentioned in these shelter homes can accommodate 800 families. P Brojendra Singh said, “I am incharge of these temporary shelter homes being constructed for displaced families. This work started on July 4th. Till now we’ve made 30-35% progress till now. A total of 800 families may be accommodated here. We will provide an attached toilet and for 50 families one combined kitchen will also be given.”
