In Haryana’s Nuh district, violent clashes erupted between two communities during a Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) rally. A mob in Nuh set fire to the car of local journalist Anil Mohania, an incident he recorded and shared on social media. Several other vehicles were also set on fire, and numerous individuals were injured during the turmoil, resulting in at least one person’s death and injuries to five people, including two policemen. The injuries were allegedly caused by gunshots and stone pelting. In response to the escalating situation, internet services have been shut down, and Section 144 has been imposed to maintain order in the area. The tension in the district heightened due to the alleged presence of Monu Manesar, a prominent cow vigilant and Bajrang Dal member, who is wanted for the murder of two men in Rajasthan during the VHP rally. The atmosphere along the Gurugram-Alwar National Highway near Nuh city has become tense, with authorities closely monitoring the situation. Additionally, during the ‘Shobha Yatra,’ stones were also thrown, further fueling the unrest and complicating the situation for the authorities.On Monday, during the ‘Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra’ organized by Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), a clash broke out between two groups, resulting in at least one person’s death and injuries to five people, including two policemen. The injuries were allegedly caused by gunshots and stone pelting. As communal violence escalated in Nuh, the state government suspended internet services in the district until 2nd August. Section 144 of CrPc has also been imposed in the district to maintain law and order.
