Speaking about the death toll in the Balasore Triple Train Collision, Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena updated the figure to 288 on June 6. He said that after a thorough tallying of data from various hospitals, the final figure has been updated to 288. “The collector of Balasore has confirmed the final figure of death as 288 after the reconciliation of district hospitals, mortuaries and reports from collectors of different districts. Over 205 bodies have been transferred,” Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena.
