In a stern message against corruption, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 03 said that the corrupt men should be made aware of their duty by the society. “Every corrupt man should be held accountable before law. We’ve seen many times that corrupts are being praised even after being sentenced to jail. People who carry ‘Theka’ of honesty hold their hands and get pictures clicked. Advocacy is being done to give awards to the corrupt. We’ve never seen anything like this. It is vital for such forces to be made aware of their duty by society,” he said. The Prime Minister’s remarks came while addressing a programme marking Vigilance Awareness Week of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
