In his conversation with ANI regarding his recent meeting with Prime Minister Modi, Rafael Mariano Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, highlighted India’s significant role in nuclear electricity generation, aligning with its 2047 vision of achieving a decarbonized economy. Additionally, he emphasized India’s collaboration with Argentina on various crucial matters, including cancer research, food security, and water management.Rafael Mariano Grossi stated, “During my meeting with Prime Minister Modi today, we discussed India’s pivotal role in nuclear power generation, in line with its 2047 goal of a carbon-neutral economy. India is also a valuable partner in addressing global challenges such as cancer research, food security, and water management, among others. Our discussions encompassed a wide array of topics, including current regional issues like the situation in the Middle East and non-proliferation concerns, as well as developments in the Indo-Pacific. The meeting with the Prime Minister allowed us to deliberate on how India and the IAEA can collectively elevate these issues to the forefront of the international agenda.”
