Amid a political storm over the BJP’s sexual harassment allegations in West Bengal’s Sandeshkhali, A six-member delegation from the Bharatiya Janata Party will visit Sandeshkhali on February 16. The six-member delegation formed by BJP President JP Nadda will meet victims in Sandeshkhali. BJP leaders are further directed to visit the incident site, take stock of the situation, and submit a report to BJP Party President JP Nadda Union Minister and member of the delegation visiting Sandeshkhali, Annapurna Devi, said, “We want to listen to the story of the victims of Sandeshkhali. The way atrocities are being done against women in the state, the government here is corrupt and useless. The state government awards the accused.” BJP MP and member of the delegation visiting Sandeshkhali, Kavita Patidar, said, “We will visit the victims and her family members to get more details about the incident. On one side, the Centre is working for women’s empowerment, and on the other side, there are incidents of violence taking place against women in West Bengal. This is highly condemnable.”Union Minister and member of the delegation visiting Sandeshkhali, Pratima Bhaowmick, says, “Hundreds of Sheikh Shahjahan are being nurtured by Mamata Banerjee. Yesterday in the Assembly, she was safeguarding him. It is our democratic right to visit Sandeshkhali.”
