Another batch of 362 Indian evacuees from Sudan reached Bengaluru from Jeddah on April 28. They left Sudan in the presence of Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan. According to the MoS, the ninth batch of 135 Indian nationals was evacuated from Port Sudan to Jeddah by IAF C 130 J. EAM S Jaishankar informed that a batch of 362 Indians returned to India, as another ‘Operation Kaveri’ flight down in Bengaluru. India launched ‘Operation Kaveri’ this week to bring nationals to safety from war-torn Sudan. “…I am happy and sad at the same time because I left all my friends. They are going to different countries now,” a girl who returned from Sudan, with her family said.
