Chinese soldiers confronted Indian graziers in Ladakh along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on January 2, specifically near Patrolling Points 35 and 36 at Kakjung in the Nyoma constituency. A video of the incident, where herders confront the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) claiming it to be Chinese territory, went viral on social media. The locals, speaking in Tibetan, are seen throwing rocks at the PLA soldiers. Notably, there is no presence of Indian security forces in the video. Following the incident, officials, including the sarpanch, sub-divisional magistrate, Indian Army, and ITBP officials, visited the site on January 12.
