The G20 Digital Economy Ministers’ Meeting was held today in Bengaluru. There was a consensus to globally adopt the DPI architecture for digitalising their economies at the meeting, informed Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. “In India’s G20 Presidency in the digital economy ministers meeting, it was a very important achievement that there was a consensus on adopting the digital public infrastructure as a very important element for digitalising global societies. There was a consensus that we globally, adopt the DPI architecture for digitalising their economies. The three major priority areas that were there for the G20 meeting were DPI, second was cyber security and the third was skilling. In all these three areas, we got a good consensus and an outcome document was adopted today by the entire G-20 ministers’ meeting,” said Union Minister Vaishnaw.
