Advocate Anupam Dwivedi, representing the Hindu side on the Gyanvapi case, on September 14 informed that Varanasi Court has directed Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to hand over evidence found during Gyanvapi survey to DM. “On all the applications filed for the purpose of historical evidence or any other evidence which is found during the commission proceedings or ASI survey, Varanasi district court has directed Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to prepare a list and preserve all objects, having historical significance found during the Scientific Survey of the Gyanvapi mosque premises. Court has also ordered to present a copy of a list before the Court and the District Magistrate” said Advocate Anupam Dwivedi. The Varanasi District Court heard petitions from the Hindu side in the Gyanvapi case on September 13. The Hindu side sought an evidence room to preserve the ‘evidence’ collected during the ASI survey, in addition to reserving the Gyanvapi mosque premises.
