Lucknow: The recently inaugurated Lulu Mall in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow has run into a controversy after a video of people offering Namaz surfaced. The viral video on social media shows that a group of people is offering Namaz in an open space in the shopping arena of the mall.
On Thursday, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha raised an objection and asked all the Hindus to boycott the mall.
Hindu Mahasabha’s national spokesperson, Shishir Chaturvedi said, “People offered namaz sitting on the floor in Lulu Mall, this video proves that government orders were violated in the mall. The government has directed that namaz cannot be offered in public spaces.”
Chaturvedi further said, “I will request chief minister Yogi Adityanath to take action on such incidents and ensure that it does not happen again.”
He said, “If Namaz would be offered again in the mall, they will hold a protest against it by reciting the Sundar Kand.”
The Hindu outfit has further stated in the statement that since the opening of the mall, it has been allegedly said that ‘love jihad’ is promoted there. It noted that 80 percent of the employees hired in the mall belonged to the Muslim community while the remaining 20 percent are Hindu girls so that love jihad can be started.
